POSCO INTERNATIONAL (CEO Lee Kye-In) has partnered with relevant organizations to support the healthy development of local children who will be the future generation.

On the 19th, POSCO INTERNATIONAL signed a 'memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the promotion of children's mental health in Seo-gu, Incheon' at the Incheon Seobu Office of Education in Incheon Metropolitan City, which was attended by Kim Kwang-Seok, Superintendent of the Incheon Seobu Office of Education; Lee Pil-Seung, Director of Good Neighbors Incheon Regional Headquarters; and Heo Sung-Hyung, Director of Corporate Citizenship at POSCO INTERNATIONAL.

This partnership will bolster 'To-dak To-dak Momdogye (Cheer Up With Bodyometer),' a program designed to support the mental health of more than 4,300 children across 18 schools in Seo-gu, Incheon.

Developed by Good Neighbors, this psychological group program helps children manage stress and lead healthy lives on their own. This program aims to offer professional services to assist children struggling with academic, social, emotional, and psychological challenges, exacerbated by the rapidly changing environment and the COVID-19 pandemic, to become healthy members of society.

POSCO INTERNATIONAL will donate KRW 55 million to support the program while Incheon Seobu Office of Education will play a crucial role in identifying eligible children, operating the program, and promoting its benefits.

Committed to community engagement, POSCO INTERNATIONAL has undertaken various projects to foster mutual growth with the local community. Since 2020, the company has established a 'fine-dust reduction forest' in Seo-gu, Incheon every year to enhance the health of its residents in the city. By planting maple trees, known for their efficacy in creating windbreaks against fine dust, and creating moss-covered walking paths, the company has created a multi-purpose eco-friendly space for the enjoyment of local residents.

In addition, the company has been committed to the 'Clean Air in Schools' initiative, which includes providing approximately 500 air purifiers to primary, middle, and high schools in Incheon. This effort is part of the company's ongoing social contribution activities aimed at fostering a healthier environment for future generations.

Heo Sung-Hyung, Director of Corporate Citizenship at POSCO INTERNATIONAL, expressed his enthusiasm for the program. "We are delighted to support the healthy development of children in Seo-gu, Incheon, where our energy business is situated. We remain committed to the local community and future generations, striving to create lasting social value."
